So let’s start here (check all that apply):

I’m here because…

  1. I am interested in learning more about a holistic health approach that views all body systems as interconnected, rather than separate.

  2. I am ready to identify the root cause of my symptoms, and am open to explore the options for advanced functional lab testing in order to do so.

  3. I want to work with a health practitioner that actually listens to me and helps me achieve my goals.

  4. I feel like I’ve tried everything, but I have not given up hope!

If any or all of the above apply to you, then good news - you’re in the right spot!

Hello! I’m Madeline.

It’s my goal to help you get to the root of your symptoms, restore balance in your body, and put you back in charge of your health. I am here to be your health advocate, because I believe that your health is your greatest asset!

It is my job to be a detective - to ask the right questions, listen intently, and make expert recommendations including functional lab testing to reveal the origin of your imbalance(s), personalized nutrition and supplement protocols, and individualized lifestyle and mindset transformations. We will work together to implement solutions, leading you to optimal health!

I founded Santé Health and Wellness after working in various integrative health clinics for over 6 years. I wanted to create a space that approaches healing from all aspects: body, mind, and spirit. I’m passionate about education and empowering my clients to understand how their body works, providing lifelong skills that will support their health for years to come.

I deeply believe in the principles of functional medicine because I’ve seen them work in my own life (see my story below) and I can’t wait to see them work in yours, too!

My personal journey to wellness

Like many of my clients today, when I was in my mid-twenties, I began experiencing sharp abdominal pain and lots of GI issues.

I was overcome with nausea, gas, frequent trips to the bathroom, and I was always uncomfortable. I developed cystic acne, felt unusually lethargic, and became desperate to recover the confidence and happiness I once took for granted.

After months of suffering, I began the all-too-common process of troubleshooting my diet and lifestyle habits in order to find relief from my persistent discomfort and chronic symptoms.

I began visiting clinics regularly for expensive acne treatments. I spent months tinkering with my diet, keeping charts and lists of my body’s reactions to food or potential stressors. I blindly bought supplements and digestive aids, and I had plenty of run-of-the-mill conversations with traditional practitioners who either offered medications to mask my health concerns or assured me my symptoms would eventually go away on their own.

As I waited for my body to heal itself, I began structuring my lifestyle around my discomfort. My symptoms began dictating my moods, my ability to interact with my friends and family, and they often kept me from enjoying the things that I loved

After months of living with digestive issues, chronic fatigue, and unpredictable skin conditions, a functional medical doctor colleague encouraged me to take a food sensitivity test to really get down to the bottom of things.

The test showed that I was reacting to 38 different foods—most of which I was regularly eating!

After hearing the results of the food sensitivity test, I was excited to make new adjustments to my diet and finally see results. I removed those foods from my diet for three months, and the strangest thing happened… Nothing changed.

Unwilling to give up, I continued my search for the true source of my issues. So I completed a comprehensive stool analysis (not fun, but worth it), and discovered that I was host to an invasive parasite that was disrupting my GI health and causing imbalances throughout my body. This tiny, single cell amoeba was the hidden culprit I was looking for!

In just a matter of months, with a clear plan in place, I was able to eradicate the parasite, restore my GI health, and FINALLY feel like myself again.

My skin cleared, my stomach pains and urgency disappeared, and I even was able to reintroduce my favorite foods back into my diet.

Since then, I have felt empowered to help other people determine the root cause of their ailments and find long-lasting wellness from the inside out.

Through close listening, individualized integrative protocols, and a scientific approach to nutrition therapy, I can help you listen to your body, understand your symptoms, and find relief so you can live with your body in balance again.
